Recently at work, while sifting through the editors’ giveaway pile of promo items, I stumbled upon the coffee table book, Cake Wrecks: When Professional Cakes Go Hilariously Wrong.

How could I resist a title like that?? So I flipped open the book and started covering my mouth in horror/laughing my ass off! The pages are filled with photos of professional cake catastrophes, such as grammatical errors, excessive poop-like brown frosting, and headless/appendage-less pregnant torsos, to name a few.

The book, based on Jen Yates’ popular blog, is peppered with Yate’s witty, sarcastic commentary throughout. A ridiculously funny read!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! In honor of this special day of thanks and overeating, check out the cover I designed for this week’s New York Press… and check out what Time Out New York had to say about it!

Hi all. Welcome to my new blog! I will be showcasing my personal style, as well as post about things that excite me in the world of fashion, art, graphics, product design, etc.; things I covet and obsess over.

With that said, here are two hot, new items from my closet that are vegan-friendly; who says you can’t rock out in faux leather?!

The first item is a black faux leather zip-up corset dress from H&M. The best thing? You can own this bold, chic silhouette for a mere $19.99 (I love my bargains)! I have posted two different looks for this dress.

Look 1: For day time, paired with a t-shirt.

Obesity and Speed dagger t-shirt (love this print); H&M corset dress, Kira Plastinina sunglasses, Echo Design gloves, HUE tights, We Who See ankle boots.

Same outfit, sans gloves, paired with a teal Nixon watch.

Look 2: transition into night, with strong, bright accessories and bold, red lipstick for maximum impact!

Vintage red necklace and purse, black bracelet from Rainbow, shadi nyc silver leather bracelet cuff, H&M white leopard print tights.

Now, for the second item, a faux leather black motorcyle jacket with an elongated silhouette; a great variation to this season’s motorcyle jacket trend.
